The Ram 50 was redesigned for 1987, which was the same year Chrysler introduced the Ram 50's successor, the Dodge Dakota. The second generation Triton of 1987 was in its second year, the usual engine a 68 horsepower 2.5 liter diesel or an 84 PS turbo diesel. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors. In the United States Mitsubishi marketed it as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max until 1996.
