Production of the Tredia was discontinued in 1990 after eight years, ending a sedan that had widened the Mitsubishi line between the Galant and the Lancer. Its engine range at the end included a 1.8 liter in both 100 PS naturally aspirated and 135 PS turbocharged forms, and it had been sold from Europe to America to Panama. The Tredia used front-wheel drive and was similar in design to the contemporary Mirage, although larger.
