A retro styled variant of the Minica Toppo, called the Minica Toppo Town Bee, was introduced in 1996. The car stayed a tall, light recreational vehicle based on the Minica, with the new front end of the seventh generation Minica and the same passenger compartment as before, sold through the Galant Shop chain. The Toppo was a tall light recreational vehicle derived from the Minica kei car. The second generation Minica Toppo was a thorough facelift of the short-lived first generation model.
