The Proudia and Dignity nameplates were discontinued for the second time in November 2016, after about four years as rebadged versions of the Nissan Fuga. The cars had sold in Japan as the Mitsubishi luxury sedan with a specific grille, below the Dignity limousine, and Nissan's Garnet Black Pearl paint was not offered, with a different color offered by Mitsubishi. Its name is a portmanteau derived from the English word proud and diamond.
