The fourth generation Pajero was in its eleventh year in 2016, sold in Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America, as the Montero in some markets and Shogun in the United Kingdom, a full-size SUV with the heavy duty Super Select four wheel drive system. The Pajero was one of four Mitsubishi models with that system, with the Triton, the Pajero Sport and the Pajero iO. It was sold as the Montero in Spain and Latin America and the Shogun in the United Kingdom.
