In June 1984 the Minicab range was updated, becoming the fourth generation U11/12 series for two wheel drive and four wheel drive, in parallel with the Minica. Angular headlamps played an important role in the styling, with larger windows for visibility, a rear window wiper, an electronic locking rear gate and power brakes. Mitsubishi offered 15 front and four wheel drive van variations and 10 truck variations. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
