The Minicab of 1970 was in its fifth and last year as the first generation truck, the T30, which was replaced in 1971 by the new Minicab EL. The van went on being produced, and was also called the Minicab EL later, with a dummy grille and headlight surround. About 224,766 first generation Minicabs were built, and the van was kept in production until 1976. The Minicab was a kei truck and microvan. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
