1987 Mitsubishi Lancer

Automobiles

The United States began receiving Mirage badged Lancers from the 1987 through 2002 model years, while New Zealand continued marketing the Lancer as the Mirage sedan. The older rear wheel drive Lancers sold in the same sales channel finally ended in 1987. The third generation Mirage debuted in Japan in 1987, and the Fiore suffix, which differentiated it from them, was soon to be dropped. The Lancer was marketed under many names including Colt, Mirage and Eagle Summit in various countries.
