The Evolution X reached the United States in January 2008, Canada in February as the first version of the Evolution in Canada, and the United Kingdom in March 2008. It was also nominated as one of the top 10 World Performance Car of the Year and won the Automotive Excellence Awards' 2008 Fun to Drive category. The Philippines had the Evolution IX until August 2008. All generations use two liter intercooled turbo inline four cylinder engines and all wheel drive systems.
