On 25 April 2011 it was announced that Endeavor production would end in August 2011. The Endeavor was a mid size crossover SUV built by Mitsubishi Motors at the Normal, Illinois plant from 2003 until 2011, and its failure to meet sales expectations came despite reasonably favorable reviews. The SSU prototype was powered by a 305 horsepower 2.5 liter twin turbo V6 with a full time all wheel drive system. The Endeavor was built on the PS platform and was the first vehicle under Project America.
