Production of the Delica vans and wagons of the third generation continued for the Japanese market until 1998. The Delica of 1998 was in its fifth year of the fourth generation, the Space Gear in Japan, with its monocoque construction and Pajero engines, and in Taiwan the third generation continued to be produced and sold alongside it. The Delica has been sold as the L300 later L400 in Europe, Jamaica and New Zealand, Express and Starwagon in Australia, and plain Mitsubishi Van and Wagon in the United States.
