From 1992 a single GLX model of the Chariot was assembled in New Zealand at Mitsubishi's Porirua plant, with a manual or automatic transmission. In the Philippines the car was sold as the Space Wagon MPV in 1992, with a 1.8 liter carbureted four cylinder and a five speed manual. Not all markets got the full range. Most other Chariot variants, including the American-market Mitsubishi Expo, featured fully reclining first-, second- and third-row seats.
