The Mitsubishi Zinger is a compact MPV that Mitsubishi Motors designed with the China Motor Corporation and has produced since December 2005. The name comes from a word for a person or thing full of energy and vitality. It was also sold in the Philippines from 2007 until 2016 as the Mitsubishi Fuzion, which the company described as combining an SUV's ruggedness, a van's space and a passenger car's comfort. First-month sales of 2,285 beat the target of 1,200 a month. The automatic model's engine was changed to a 4G69 MIVEC unit at the end of 2008, and the manual keeps the 4G64. In October 2015 the 4G69 was detuned from 159 to 136 PS with a new five-speed automatic, and in Taiwan the car was rebranded as the CMC Zinger with a CMC grille. A two-door pickup variant with a 710 kilogram payload appeared in September 2020. The Xpander replaced the Fuzion in the Philippines.
