The first-generation Mitsubishi RVR, codes N10 and N20, is a compact MPV that Mitsubishi Motors introduced in February 1991 and built until 1997. It was essentially a second-generation Chariot with the chassis shortened by 20 centimetres, a tall wagon with two rows of seats, a single rear door and a sliding door on the passenger side that latched to the B pillar. Export names were Space Runner in Europe and Expo LRV in the United States, where it sold from 1991 to 1995, and Chrysler sold related Dodge and Plymouth Colt Wagon and Eagle Summit Wagon captive imports. Engines began with naturally aspirated 2.0 and 1.8 litre petrol units and added a turbodiesel and, from September 1994, a 2.0 litre intercooled turbo, with Sports Gear, Open Gear and Super Sport Gear trims. The final Hyper Sports Gear of January 1997 used the 4G63T turbo engine of the first Galant VR-4.
