The Mitsubishi RVR is a range of cars that Mitsubishi Motors produced from 1991 to 2002 and again from 2010 to the present. The first two generations were compact multi-purpose vehicles, and the model introduced in 2010 is a subcompact SUV. RVR stands for Recreation Vehicle Runner, and the original logo used a reversed Cyrillic Ya on its first letter. It was Mitsubishi's debut in recreational vehicles during Japan's bubble economy, sold at the Car Plaza dealer chain, with a passenger-side sliding door, a tall wagon body and an outdoor image, and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck appeared in its Japanese television advertising. It was based on the second-generation Chariot with the chassis shortened by 20 centimetres, and was exported as the Space Runner in Europe and the Expo LRV in the United States. The original RVR was discontinued in August 2002; the third generation, from 17 February 2010, is sold elsewhere as the ASX and the Outlander Sport.
