Mercedes-Benz B-Class

Automobiles

The B-Class is a small multi-purpose vehicle that Mercedes-Benz has built since 2005 on the underpinnings of the A-Class, with larger outside dimensions. It keeps the sandwich floor of its smaller sibling, which places the engine and gearbox partly below the passenger compartment so that the car can slide them under the occupants in a frontal impact. A concept called Vision B Compact Sports Tourer was shown at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, and the first generation, coded W245, went on sale in early 2005 under the DaimlerChrysler group. It was sold in most markets except the United States. One million cars had been delivered by the end of 2013.
