Mazda Premacy

The Mazda Premacy is a compact minivan that Mazda built from 1999 to 2018 and sold under that name in Japan, while export markets knew its later generations as the Mazda5. The first generation, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on 9 March 1999, was one of the least expensive seven-seat vehicles on its market and came with front or all-wheel drive, a four-speed automatic gearbox and second and third row seats that could be folded or removed. Ford rebadged it as the Ford Ixion in some Asian markets, and China's FAW Haima built it as the Haima Freema. The second generation arrived in 2005 on Ford's global C1 platform and the third in 2010 with Mazda's Nagare styling. Sales in Japan ended on 23 February 2018, and Mazda left the minivan market without a direct successor.
