Citroen Evasion

Automobiles

The Citroen Evasion was the first-generation large multi-purpose vehicle that Citroen sold from 1994, one of four near-identical vans built under the Eurovans joint venture with Peugeot, Fiat and Lancia at the Sevel Nord factory in France. It was badged Synergie in the United Kingdom and Ireland, though New Zealand kept the Evasion name. The vans differed mainly in grilles, tail lamps, wheel covers and badging, and Citroen gave the Evasion a mild facelift in October 1998 with a larger logo and a restyled front grille and rear bumper. More than 120,000 Evasion and Synergie vans were built before the second-generation C8 replaced it in 2002. A special Evasion Windows 95 edition, sometimes called the Mobile Office, was built in two copies to prepare for the arrival of Bill Gates in France, and it was followed by the Xsara Intel and XM Multimedia prototypes.
