The U25 Countryman continued in 2026 as the third generation of the Mini compact crossover, built at the BMW Leipzig plant with petrol and battery electric powertrains. The Countryman had been launched in 2010 as the first crossover SUV of the Mini marque, and by 2026 it had been through three generations and the largest car in the Mini line up. The Countryman was one of the best known Mini models, with a long history from 2010.
