Mercury Montclair (second generation)

Automobiles

For 1957 Mercury again revised its sedan line, with the Montclair becoming its mid range offering, now slotted below the newly introduced Turnpike Cruiser. The 312 V8 was carried over from 1956, retuned to 255 horsepower, and Mercury offered mechanically activated pushbutton transmission controls called Keyboard Control. For 1958 the Montclair remained mid level, below the new Park Lane. Its model years run from 1957 to 1958.
