In 1977 the Marquis continued with few visible changes as the sole full size Mercury, offered in the Marquis, Brougham and Grand Marquis trims, with the Colony Park as the woodgrained wagon. Ford Canada sold a Marquis Meteor as a base trim level for 1977 and 1978. The 460 was standard on the Marquis Brougham and Grand Marquis through 1977. The Marquis was the counterpart of the Ford LTD and shared its chassis with the full size Ford.
