1948 Mercury Eight

Automobiles

For all practical purposes the 1948 Mercury Eights were identical to the 1947s. It was the last year of the second generation, introduced for 1941, and of the Australian coupe utility variant produced from 1946 to 1948. The 1948 Eight offered a full range of body styles, and a third generation, the first postwar redesign, was introduced for 1949. It was Mercury's only model line. Ford and Mercury still used the flathead V8 then.
