The 1941 Mercury Eight got all new styling and some engineering improvements. The four door convertible, offered in 1940, was gone, but a station wagon was added, and the Eight script was moved to the rear of the hood. A total of 90,556 Mercury Eights were sold in the 1941 model year. The Eight was Mercury's only model line, a car priced above the Ford V8. The Eight was produced in a full range of coupe, sedan, convertible and station wagon bodies.
