A partial improvement of the third generation Scrum truck was made on 19 June 2012, with high back seats and larger headrests to meet the seat and seatbelt rules that came into force in July 2012, and with rear reflectors fitted for lighting rules of January 2013. The Scrum of 2012 was in its eighth year as the fourth generation van and wagon, beside the old truck. Mitsubishi and Nissan sold sister vehicles, the Minicab, Town Box and Clipper, after 2014.
