The CX-90 was revealed on 31 January 2023 for North America, where it was introduced in April, and was released in Mexico on 11 April in the sole Signature inline six variant. It reached the Philippines on 22 September, Chile on 16 October, Cambodia on 18 November and Australia on 14 August in Touring, GT and Azami trims, and New Zealand in September alongside the CX-60. It sits on Mazda's Large Product Group platform with a longitudinal engine and rear biased all wheel drive.
