The Mazda Biante was introduced for the Japanese market in 2008 as an eight seat minivan replacing the Bongo Friendee, fitting between the Premacy and the MPV in the range and aimed at younger families with small children. The 20S grade appeared at its debut in 2008, and the 23S and 20CS also shown in 2008 used the 2260 cc engine, the 23S in an exclusive color, Chili Orange Mica. The Biante is primarily aimed at younger families with small children.
