The Mazda 6e was launched in Australia on 18 February 2026 in the GT and Atenza variants, in Thailand on 23 March 2026, in Indonesia at the 2026 GAIKINDO auto show on 29 July 2026 and in Singapore on 20 August 2026. All were powered by a battery pack of about 78 kWh. It was made by the Changan Mazda joint venture in China. The 6e is claimed to have a 50-50 weight distribution. The 6e is equipped with a 14.6-inch central screen and a 14-speaker Sony sound system.
