The Nissan President is a Japanese luxury sedan that Nissan manufactured and marketed from 1965 until 2010 as the flagship of its range, available only at Nissan Store dealerships and later at Nissan Blue Stage dealerships. It was first marketed in Japan only as an executive limousine, and exports began to a few countries including Singapore and Hong Kong, though sales were limited. When it was introduced in 1965 it carried the Nissan badge at a time when other Nissan products were sold under the Datsun brand. The first generation was offered with a specially developed 4.0 litre Y40 V8 engine of 180 PS or a 3.0 litre H30 straight-six, and the V8 was regarded as an extravagant feature in a country where urban speed limits are low.
