The Lancia Dialogos is an Italian luxury concept car that was presented in saloon form at the 1998 Turin Motor Show. It was developed from August 1996 by the in-house Centro Stile Lancia under chief designer Mike Robinson, and at 1.95 m wide with a 3.05 m wheelbase it is a very large car built around a living room idea of the cabin. Its rear doors open backwards without a central pillar to recall the Aurelia saloon, the front seats swivel through 90 degrees or 180 degrees to form a sofa, and the controls sit at the centre. Lancia carried many of its technologies into the Thesis saloon of 2001, whose styling came from the Dialogos, and a one-off Giubileo version powered by a 3.0 litre Alfa Romeo V6 was given to Pope John Paul II in 2000.
