Chrysler Cordoba

Automobiles

The Chrysler Cordoba was a personal luxury car sold by Chrysler in North America. The name first appeared in 1970 on a full-sized luxury version of the Newport and on a show car exhibited that year at the Chicago Auto Show. From the 1975 model year it was reborn as an intermediate-sized two-door coupe, Chrysler's first model designed for the personal luxury segment and its first Chrysler-branded car smaller than full size. The car was named after the Spanish city of Cordoba and was built in Windsor, Ontario, over two generations until the 1983 model year, after which the Chrysler Laser and later models took over that role.
