1942 Lincoln-Zephyr (1936)

Automobiles

Production of all American cars was halted by the government in 1942 as the country entered World War II, with Lincoln producing the last Lincoln Zephyr on 10 February. The Zephyr name was no longer used after 1942, with the cars simply called Lincolns, and when Lincoln resumed production after the war its full size cars of 1946 to 1948 were known only by their body styles. From 1941 all Lincolns had been Zephyr based. It was a streamlined V12 powered luxury car of the Lincoln division of Ford.
