Following the 2003 redesign, the Town Car saw very few external changes, and the 2004 car carried the dual exhaust 4.6 liter V8 at 239 horsepower with the revised frame. It was built at Wixom Assembly, alongside the Lincoln LS, and sold as the full size luxury sedan of the Lincoln line, widely used for fleet and livery service, and as the longest car Ford produced worldwide. The third generation Town Car was the FN145, which was released for the 1998 model year.
