ABS became standard in 1992, following the return of four wheel disc brakes to the Town Car in 1991, and by the beginning of the 1992 model year all Town Cars came equipped with dual airbags from the factory, after a March 1990 fire at the facility that made propellant had made the passenger airbag a delete option. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Series, a special edition with a green exterior and white vinyl top, ran from 1992 to 1997.
