The Mark VIII of 1994 was the second year of a grand touring luxury sport coupe that was the first Mark branded entirely as a Lincoln. It used the FN10 chassis, a variant of the Ford Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar platform, and a DOHC modular V8, and was built at Wixom Assembly. Its development had begun in 1984 with a projected release for the 1990 model year but was delayed. It was built at Wixom Assembly, where Mark series vehicles were produced from 1958 to 1998.
