April 1982 brought the County specification for Station Wagon Land Rovers in both 88-inch and 109-inch lengths, with cloth seats borrowed from a Leyland truck, soundproofing, tinted glass and other soft options for the leisure user. The High Capacity Pick Up on the 109-inch chassis arrived, with 25 percent more load volume and heavy-duty suspension. The rear axle was redesigned, increasing the driving splines from 10 to 24, and in Australia a 3.9-litre Isuzu diesel was introduced.
