1970 Land Rover Series

Automobiles

1970 was the last full year of the Series IIA and the second of the record sales run, with more than 60,000 utility Land Rovers a year being sold. It was also the year in which Rover introduced the much more upmarket Range Rover, which would soon share the Land Rover family with the Series. Back at the factory, the Series IIA lineup still included the long-wheelbase models with the 2.6-litre six-cylinder engine, and the 1 Ton 109-inch variant was in production.
