The 2026 model year Defender brought the first major update of the L663, revealed in May 2025, with new light units, a restyled front and rear, a 13.1-inch touchscreen, Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control and a driver attention monitor fitted as standard in the European Union. The Country accessory pack was withdrawn, and new Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey paint replaced older shades. In September 2026 a Defender Wolf Series II was launched, built on the D7x platform to compete for the UK Light Mobility Vehicle tender.
