For 2011 the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited received a mid cycle restyling with a redesigned interior, and four wheel drive became standard for the 2011 model year. A 70th Anniversary Edition was offered on both models, and the JK-8 Independence pickup kit turned the Jeep into a two seater with a steel bed. The 70th Anniversary Edition celebrated the Jeep name's seventieth year, with both the Wrangler and the Unlimited offered in it.
