For the 2022 model year Jeep marketed the outgoing Grand Cherokee WK2 alongside the all new Grand Cherokee WL, as the Grand Cherokee WK, with a lineup condensed to Laredo E, Laredo X and Limited with the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6. The two row version of the WL was revealed on September 30, 2021, and the 4xe plug in hybrid was introduced, with 375 horsepower from a turbocharged 2.0 liter four and a 17 kWh battery for 25 miles of electric range.
