The 2021 model year saw the fifth generation Grand Cherokee WL introduced as the three row Grand Cherokee L, the first Fiat Chrysler product after two others to offer the Uconnect 5 infotainment suite, with an 8.4 inch or 10.1 inch touchscreen. It arrived in Mexico in September 2021, offered only in the Summit Reserve 4X4 trim. The Grand Cherokee L was assembled at the new Mack Avenue Assembly Complex in Detroit, Michigan.
