The 2013 Compass continued the first generation compact crossover SUV after its 2011 redesign, with the Sport, Latitude and Limited models and the Freedom Drive II Off Road Package, with a continuously variable transmission fitted with a low range setting, all terrain tires on 17 inch aluminum wheels, skid plates and an increased ground clearance. It was assembled at Belvidere, Illinois, alongside the Patriot.
