Hummer launched a special 2009 Black Chrome Limited Edition featuring a new paint color, Sedona Metallic. The 2009 model year was the last for the H2, which Hummer had marketed since 2002, built in the AM General facility under contract from General Motors, and General Motors announced in February 2010 that it was shutting down the Hummer brand. The 2009 model was the last H2, built at Mishawaka in Indiana by AM General.
