Honda brought out the Vamos in November 1970 with a 354 cc two cylinder gasoline engine, mounted in the middle, air cooled and with an overhead camshaft, which it shared with the TN360, N360 and Z360. Its official name was in fact Vamos Honda, Spanish for let's go, Honda. Honda hoped the Vamos would share in the popularity of the Dax minibike and its off-road image, and planned a monthly output of 2,000 units.
