Honda introduced the T360 in June 1963 as its first production automobile, four months ahead of the S500. It had a 356 cc inline four DOHC engine of the AK250E series, also used in the Honda S360 roadster prototype, which shared its chassis with the truck. The bench seat in the cabin is hinged to allow access to the engine, and the clamshell hood of the T360 wraps around and leaves the headlights in place when opened.
