Honda Stepwgn (first generation)

Automobiles

The first-generation Stepwgn, chassis RF1 and RF2, was first shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995 as the F-MX, and Japanese sales began on 8 May 1996. Most Japanese minivans of the time had the engine under the cabin, but the Stepwgn had a two box layout of the more usual kind and was based on the Civic to cut costs. The passenger side was fitted with a sliding door, and to improve profitability there was only one engine and transmission option, a two litre inline four and a 4 speed automatic. It was updated in 1997 and received a facelift in May 1999. Each model year has its own page.
