Honda built the first generation Partner (EY6 to EY9) from March 1996 until March 2006, based on the Orthia station wagon. A 1,343 cc D13, 1,493 cc D15 or 1,590 cc D16 inline four powered it, and the Partner with the 1.6 L engine was Honda's first Low Emission Vehicle. Anti-lock brakes were installed in January 1998, and the vehicle was brought into year 2000 emissions compliance with a driver-side airbag as standard equipment. It was sold only in the Japanese market as the commercial van counterpart of the Orthia station wagon. Each model year has its own page.
