Late in 2001 the 2002 Honda Odyssey got a big jump in power, from 210 hp to 240 hp. Large upgrades included a third trim, the EX-L, which brought leather seats to the Odyssey for the first time, navigation moving from the EX to the EX-L, and a DVD based entertainment system option. Honda also added a five speed automatic, torso airbags in the sides of the seats, disc brakes at the rear and some minor cosmetic improvements inside and outside.
