Honda Odyssey North America (first generation)

Automobiles

Honda introduced the first-generation Odyssey, chassis RA, in 1994 as its first minivan, built on the Accord platform with a four cylinder engine, anti lock disc brakes at all four wheels, wishbone suspension all around and a four speed automatic. Its class would subsequently become known as Compact MPV. Kunimichi Odagaki and a team of 20 engineered it, and production formally began on October 20, 1994. Honda marketed it in LX and EX trims, with conventional rear swing open doors and a third row seat that could fold into a compartment beneath the floor, and Isuzu sold a rebadged version as the Oasis. Each model year has its own page.
