1996 Honda Odyssey (North America)

Automobiles

New York City's Taxi and Limousine Commission enlarged the list of licensable automobiles in 1996 and approved the first generation Odyssey for the city's taxi fleet, which it had over the Chevrolet Caprice and Ford Crown Victoria taxis thanks to more height, headroom, rear legroom and cargo space. Isuzu sold the Isuzu Oasis, a rebadged Odyssey, in the United States between 1996 and 1999. A 1995 owner survey found 98 percent of respondents rated the handling as above average.
