Honda introduced the second-generation Odyssey, chassis RA6 to RA9, in December 1999 in Japan and Australia and, with left hand drive, in China, as a larger vehicle that was a major upgrade of the first generation, not an all new model. It was 85 mm longer and 10 mm wider than the previous model, with a 2.3 liter VTEC four cylinder in the base models and a 3.0 liter V6 producing 210 PS in the Absolute and Prestige models. The 2000 Odyssey was the first Honda to receive a five speed automatic transmission, and the interior was completely new. Each model year has its own page.
